First Literacy Class Graduates

In 2023 we finished setting up a small library and school attached to a local church in Lutendele, on the outskirts of Kinshasa. The first group of adult students commenced their studies, learning first to read their native language of Lingala and then French. We're happy to announce that this first class graduated at the end of August, 2023, making way for a new group of students.

The ability to read, something which most of us take for granted, changes a person's life. The students commonly report that it makes them feel human.
