The Story of Petronie Matondo

In 2022 we became aware of a young lady named Petronie who had lost her hearing at the age of 4 due to a lack of adequate medical care. Unfortunately, her parents could not afford to hire someone qualified to teach Petronie to communicate, and as a result, she became isolated and lonely.

Despite these challenges, Petronie was always one of the first people to arrive at the church where her father is a deacon, and she would always sit right up front, despite not being able to hear what was being said.

Thanks to the generosity of you, our donors, and after a year of searching, we have found someone qualified to teach her, and the results have been life-changing. She is still in the very beginning stages of her education, but the possibility of being able to communicate with others efficiently has given her tremendous hope and motivation.
